Power is a much misunderstood energy that we tend to grab at, as though there is not enough of it to go around. We tend to view it much like money and time - something finite that for many people occurs as a rare commodity worth fighting for.
I see fellow human beings sacrifice their higher selves for time, money and power. In my conversations, the struggle for power frequently taints the desire for relationship, success and personal peace.
As Eleanor Roosevelt so wisely uttered:
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent".
True power is infinite and always available. It is like oxygen - it simply exists around you and in you. When you find yourself feeling stressed, powerless or overwhelmed, take a moment and .... yes .. terrible cliche ... take a deep breath. In that breath, draw in your power and remember that no one can take it, give it, or diminish it.
You have the power to do great things.
